Huitong School is delighted to announce that Mr Jim Hawkins, our Chancellor, has been reappointed to serve in his role for a further three-year term, with effect from August 2025.
Jim Hawkins joined the founding team of Huitong School in 2018 and has personally led the Huitong School Shenzhen campus since 2022. An accomplished educational leader with extensive experience in top-tier independent schools, Mr. Hawkins previously held headship positions in the United Kingdom, including Head Master of Harrow School (2011–2018) and Head Master of Norwich School (2002–2011).
During his tenure to date, Huitong School has developed and implemented its distinctive and inspiring curricular programme. Through the Huitong Curriculum — built on three pillars (Academic, Signature, and Studios)—complemented by its advisory system, the School has delivered personalised education that enables every pupil to excel. This approach has yielded outstanding outcomes in both university admissions and holistic growth.
Mr Hawkins looks forward to continuing his leadership of Huitong’s exceptional educational team. He remains committed to ensuring that every child receives comprehensive support at Huitong — the School of the Future — and develops into a Huitong graduate who is scholarly, creative, articulate, well-rounded and impactful.
