ARCHITECTURE
A LANDMARK BY RENZO PIANO
“The design of our school is a square, and its centre is
inspired by an Italian piazza. The piazza is a magical place
where people come together - where differences fade and
are truly valued. It’s like a miniature town.”
—Renzo Piano
Renzo Piano, a Pritzker Prize-winning architect, designed Huitong Shenzhen’s campus brilliantly to integrate our educational values into the architecture of the space itself. Compared with the standardised design of most schools, Huitong’s campus is exceptionally open, transparent and rich in connotations, reflecting the interdisciplinary interaction between science, technology, the humanities, and the arts.
Open and Integrated
Design
Inspired by the “Italian piazza,” the campus features vast, bright common areas that encourage free communication between teachers and students in natural light, reflecting interdisciplinary interaction between science and the humanities.
An All-Ages Friendly
Learning Environment
Catering for learners from 2-year-olds to senior grade students, the campus provides a space where deep thinkers and outgoing creators can feel secure to grow and realise their potential.
Supporting from students' learning behaviour - such as creating, collaborating, presenting - the design uses flexible and versatile spaces to support diverse teaching methods and interactive experiences.
